Daily Movement Prompts, Friday, November 25, 2016:
Some thoughts on my mind this morning include: Your size and your weight are not tied to your Worth. Your movement is not tied to your Worth. Your movement is not even tied to your size or your weight. Your movement is just Your Choice.
You get to choose if you *like* a movement. You might love the feeling when you walk or when you run. You might hate running. You might love swimming. You might hate swimming. You might love the feeling of dance. You might not love all styles of dance. (Hopefully you love ATS dance because you keep coming to class or wanting to come to class .)
But in all these things, your practice is not your worth. And your holiday food choices should not be a motivation of shame or pressure. I hope you are learning how to recognize old brain pressures and shames. And you are learning how to silence them with your own confidence, however shaky or new that might be. Or heck, you might be BRIMMING with confidence! Go you!
In all things, if you love dance as your movement, feel encouraged that maybe today is the day to jump up and drill or rehearse or just let loose with some dance and music. Because you WANT to.
