On the Tough Days

Daily Movement Prompts, Friday, January 13, 2017 edition:

Some days are tougher than others. It could be hard to think about your own body and your own movement because you are dealing with depression. Or maybe you are busy as a caretaker. Or someone has gotten very sick. Or the news of the world has affected you heavily. Or you are grieving. Or someone near to you is grieving.

And you know what? That’s okay. It is okay to grieve. It is okay to choose to not move if that’s what you need.

It’s also okay to set aside the weight of the day to go for a walk, or a run, or a swim, or a dance, or a screaming session. Only you can hear what your body is saying. And you can even decide that your body might not “feel like” moving and decide to move anyways.

It’s Your Body. Movement is a Personal Choice. How are you doing today?
